Take a deep breath. Sometimes these things happen and it's important to remember not to panic. You may have bit too hard into something chewy or sticky, or they may have been a new decay somewhere on your tooth that caused the filling to come loose. Either way, your tooth may feel slightly uncomfortable, but all will be okay. If your filling comes out, try not to swallow it, and try to salvage it to show to Dr. Denny. If you can come right in, please give us a call and we will do our best to see you right away. If you can't come right in, do your best to keep the area around the tooth clean and chew on the opposite side of your mouth.
Yes. We can use composite, or tooth-colored, flllings to replace silver fillings.

Dr. James W. Denny DMD
Dr. Denny has practiced dentistry for over 20 years and resides in Lexington. He attended the University of South Carolina where he received a Bachelor of Science. He later graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with a doctorate in dental medicine.
Over the years, Dr. Denny has completed far more continuing education than is required, covering all aspects of dentistry.
